In 1891 Katsugorō Inoue published an intaglio-printed picture book which provided artisans with ideas for decorating their consumer goods. Entitled Banshō Gafu (i.e., Picture Album of All Varieties of Natural Phenomenon), it included the fourteen pages of flower and (or) bird pictures shown in this gallery.
